Dead Parents Club: everyone’s favorite club that nobody wanted to join

Dead Parents Club is a monthly group open to anyone and everyone who has lost a parent or parents. Once a month, we get together to share, to relate, and feel safe in knowing this is a container where nobody will to flinch if you bring up details, reflect on mortality in general, or make a morbid joke. Losing a parent or parents changes you in fundamental ways, and some of those changes can be difficult to integrate into your former life. The social ramifications are hardest for those who have lost parents relatively young, and can feel isolating. But you’re not alone. Come hang. Yes it’s sad, but it’s also fun.

There will be two groups: one meets in person in Bed-Stuy on the third Tuesday, and virtually on the fourth Wednesday. Each cohort will be limited to ten people.

Members should be prepared to commit to at least three months (1 season) to the group.
