Designing Grief Rituals

In this workshop, we will move between learning, personal reflection, and collective ritual creation. Together, we’ll explore grief practices from diverse human traditions as well as the wisdom of the more-than-human world, using them as inspiration and guides for creating meaningful rituals.

Through guided discussion, quiet contemplation, and collaborative creativity, participants will explore which ritual elements feel authentic, supportive, and personally resonant. You will be invited to reflect on your own relationship to grief and consider how intentional ritual can help hold loss, transition, remembrance, and transformation.

Part of our time together will be devoted to co-creating a shared ritual space, allowing us to experience how grief can be witnessed and supported in community while still honoring individual experience. You will also leave with ideas, frameworks, and practices to help you design or deepen a personal grief ritual of your own.

Please bring any items that feel sacred or meaningful to you to temporarily place on our collective altar (all items will be returned to you): memento mori, photographs, objects from nature, or personal talismans. You may also wish to bring a notebook and pen to record reflections and ideas for your own ritual practice.

Tickets available here.

Grief Circle at Dear Eleanor

The grief circle for everything is for anyone grieving the state of the world, and wondering how to keep showing up without burning out.

We will come together at Dear Eleanor, a community hub in Miami, so we can move from isolation and helplessness toward connection, hope, and values-aligned action together. Grief is welcomed here as a source of truth, wisdom, and fuel for meaningful change.

Dead Parents Club

Dead Parents Club is a grief circle for anyone navigating life after the loss of a parent (or parents).

There’s no pressure to speak, and no need to perform your grief in any particular way. This space is about showing up as you are. Whether your loss is new or decades old, whether you’re feeling raw, numb, angry, relieved, or all of it at once, you’re welcome here. Though if your grief is still very fresh and raw, know that this isn’t a support group in the clinical sense.

Grief Circle at Anima Mundi Apothecary

We are living in a moment where many people feel heavy, uncertain, and stretched thin. We feel it in our bodies and nervous systems, even when we can’t put words to it. This grief circle is a space to slow down, breathe, and tend the quiet and not-so-quiet sorrows we’re carrying– personal and collective.
